Gas Emergency Information

If you smell gas or think you may have a gas leak, follow these important steps:

  1. Open all doors and windows.
     
  2. Do not use electrical appliances (including light switches) or naked flames.

  3. Turn off the gas at the emergency control valve by the meter.  It’s off when the ridged line on the spindle is across the pipe.

  4. Call the Transco emergency service immediately on freephone 0800 111 999.

ScottishPower is responsible for your gas supply, but the gas itself is transported by a gas transporter, such as Transco.
