If you’d rather know exactly where you are with your payments, this option might be the one for you.
What is Prepayment?
Prepayment lets you pay for your electricity or gas as you go instead of paying monthly or quarterly bills.
You get a key or card that is unique to you and your meter, which you top up with credit at selected Post Offices and PayPoint outlets, including a range of shops and service stations. Some older meters also use tokens, which you can buy at a range of outlets.
Many customers find prepayment makes it easier to budget for their energy needs alongside other household bills.
