Where we get our energy

To enable customers to make an informed choice about their energy supplier, Ofgem, the energy regulator, now requires all UK electricity suppliers to tell customers where they get their fuel.

The fuel mix breakdown below details how the electricity we supply you with has been generated in the previous year. It breaks this down according to fuel source – such as coal, natural gas, renewable and nuclear energy – and compares ScottishPower’s fuel mix with the average for the UK.
